As in the global economy, a spark of competition drives DECA members to excel and improve their performance. 

Mission

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

An integral component of classroom instruction, DECA activities provide authentic, experiential learning methods to prepare members for college and careers.

Students In Action

sia_imageTackle Cancer -NRTC DECA members held Tackle Cancer during a home football game where they raised funds and awareness for cancer. Money was raised by selling cookies, shirts, and field goal chances. DECA member, Sami Fine, presented the earnings to Vernon County Cancer Relief reps.

sia_imageBunco--NRTC DECA members hosted their first BUNCO Night to raise funds for future travel expenses. Money was raised by selling tickets in advance, tickets at the door, and table sponsors. DECA ended up raising over $1,162 from this event.

sia_imageDistrict 10 Leadership Training--NRTC DECA members traveled to MSSU in Joplin to meet with all District 10 DECA members. Students listened to guest speakers and completed various activities. After the meeting, NRTC DECA toured the MSSU End Zone Athletic facility.
